The MSc ” Big Data & Marketing Manager ” is starting its 4th year under the leadership of Guillaume Garnotel, Director of MSc & MBA INSEEC Lyon. This MSc was entrusted to Linda Attari in 2015 with the objective of creating an innovative professional educational program in smart and big data processing and analysis. As part of this program, two key partners, Datacamp and Dataiku, startups based in the United States, are renewing their commitment to students by guaranteeing them free access to their resources (software and online training).

Datacamp and Dataiku renew their partnership with the MSc “Big Data & Marketing Manager

Contacted in 2015 by Linda Attari to promote the MSc “Big Data & Marketing Manager”, Datacamp and Dataiku responded enthusiastically by playing the role of evangelists and making their software available to students in Lyon.
Once again, Datacamp renews its trust and partnership with the INSEEC Lyon MSc & MBA and allows its 30 students to enroll in this innovative online data science program. In addition, in order to put their knowledge into practice, students will benefit throughout their training from the Dataiku DSS platform, which will allow them to analyze data, work on machine learning, artificial intelligence and develop predictive methods in a Big Data environment. For the first time, the MSc big data & Marketing Manager of Lyon will present its 30 students to the Dataiku DSS professional certification in machine learning level 1 – in partnership with Dataiku Academics Program.

These two partnerships will allow them to deepen their technical skills and bring additional value to their already very sharp profile.

Prepare a professional educational program

The MSc “Big Data & Marketing Manager” is based on a pedagogy founded on numerous case studies and feedback, as well as on the practice of different software such as Qlik sense, Tableau Software 10.5, Power BI, Dataiku, Datacamp, made available to students via a Datalab. All this teaching is provided by a faculty made up of French and international professionals from the data sector. They work for Synotis, ActInvision, Besson Conseil, Cabinet Lewitt and Attari Consulting.
On the other hand, the rhythm of the training gives an important place to the professional experience with a period of 6 months dedicated to the realization of a long internship in a company. The alternating rhythm of the training also allows students to follow their curriculum under a professionalization contract, giving them, at the end of their year, a high level of professional expertise and optimal employability.

Our students talk about it

Lorena, a former MSc “Big Data & Manager Marketing” student who graduated last year, attended the DataCamp platform.

“DataCamp gave me the knowledge of new programming languages necessary for database processing, to be able to practice them in a very intuitive way, ideal for beginners.

The combination of INSEEC courses and DataCamp training is very complementary. The courses prepare students for the management of data deployment projects, and the importance of setting the right objectives in order to make the most of the data. Data visualization, a very important component for business management, is also addressed in a transverse way in the different subjects, as much in strategy as in marketing or predictive. Before this data can be exploited, it is essential to learn how to retrieve the tables stored in the databases, to understand their structure and to extract the information in order to analyze, clean, sort or cross them. DataCamp complements the Master’s degree, with the learning of SQL, R and Python for example, languages that allow us to perform these operations. These are tools that I still use today in my professional life.”

The startup crossed the Atlantic and set up its headquarters in New York. Dataiku DSS is an integrated development platform for data professionals. It allows to efficiently convert data into predictions. This software platform is distinguished by its collaborative approach. Specialist teams within a company can use it to explore, develop and produce their own data products more efficiently. Inseec U campus Lyon has followed Dataiku since its first fundraising and international development.

The Dataiku DSS platform is designed for Data Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Ops. Its use cases are numerous. The platform can be used for marketing analytics, fraud detection, graphing analytics, data management, demand forecasting, spatial analytics, value optimization, predictive maintenance or CRM analytics.
