On May 23rd, the MBA Luxury Brand Management Food & Wine students attended a Wine Tour in Burgundy to study the Grands Crus of Burgundy.
The Wine Tour started with the visit of Maison Bouchard Père & Fils, an exceptional domain that boasts 130 hectares of vines, of which 12 are classed Grand Cru and 74 classed as Premier Cru. The students visited the cellars of the estate and participated in a wine tasting involving 3 red wines, 3 white wines and a Grand Cru. They then discovered the gastronomic and wine heritage of the region following the Grands Vins Wine Road, and were welcomed at the prestigious Chateau de Rosey, where they enjoyed a gourmet lunch. The following step of the wine tour brought them to the domains of Romanée Conti and Clos-Vougeot before visiting the Hospices de Beaune.
The journey ended with the visit of the Moutarderie Fallot, a family-owned artisanal company founded in 1840, where the students discovered the key success of this leading mustarded-manufacturer specialized in the luxury market.
