Abhishek Dash, ambitious Indian student for MSc Luxury
On December 6th, the Marketing students of INSEEC Masters Bordeaux attended a conference held by Anne-Laure Pandolfi, Communications Director of Hermès France.Mrs. Pandolfi first presented the history and evolution of this famous company, founded in 1837 in Paris. First established as a harness workshop, the company has diversified its productio, following the customer demands by making horseriders boots, travel bags, watches, clothes… until it became the famous brand of leather goods, ready-to-wear and lifestyle accessories.The Communication Director then explained Hermès values, stemed from these hand-crafted origins: quality research and commitment to make beautiful and useful things. A particular position that explains the limited number of Hermès outlets in France! During this meeting, Anne-Laure Pandolfi alos detailed the communication strategy of Hermès, that especially values partnerships with passionnate artists, photographers or designers over muses to embody the brand.To conclude her lecture, she finally describes the recruitment process at Hermès, and his own path in the company. Emphasizing the importance given to passion within this historic company, she encouraged motivated students to send their applications. The conference then ended with a cocktail, during which students were able to speak further with their speaker.
