On 28 October, the students of MBA Luxury Brand Management Fashion, Jewelry & Cosmetics welcomed Maryse Guest Vimal, Human Resources Director France & Benelux House Tiffany & Co, Cédric Wasilewski, Retail Manager France & Benelux and Raphael Reverso Manager Champs Elysées store, for a conference dedicated to the prestigious American jeweler that has been celebrating many love stories in the world since 1837.
As a key international player in the luxury jewelry sector and fine jewelry, Tiffany & Co is a well-known brand famous for its engagement ring creations. Symbolized by the « Tiffany Blue » in the design of its packaging, its boxes and catalogs, Tiffany & Co stands out as a modern, luxurious and timeless brand.
Mrs. Guest Vimal first presented to students the history and evolution of this famous Maison founded in 1837 in New York. Located on Fifth Avenue, the boutique has become a landmark and tourist location especially since the 1961 famous movie « Breakfast at Tiffany’s » with Audrey Hepburn, which contributed to the success of Tiffany jewelry. The Human Resources Director then highlighted the values and missions of the brand before describing the strategic choices of the House in terms of image by collaborating with well-known designers. Over the years, renowned designers participated in enhancing the product offering to this famous American jeweler their finest creations: Jean Schlumberger in 1956, Elsa Peretti in 1974, Paloma Picasso in 1979 as well as Frank Gehry in 2006. In 2014, Francesca Amfitheatrof, Creative director of Tiffany & Co, has signed the new streamlined collection.
Cédric Wasilewski, Retail Manager France & Benelux and Raphael Reverso, Store Manager Champs Elysées continued with the presentation by developing the issues of retail after they described their background and their function in Tiffany & Co. They also outlined the business development strategy that allows the brand to be reinforced in France. As an example, they quoted the opening of its Flagship Store in 2014, at 62 Avenue des Champs Elysées.
