The MSc Fashion Marketing, Design and Brand Strategies students took part in a creative and participative workshop dedicated to the “Service Design in Fashion” on the 17th and 18th January 2014. This workshop was conducted by Lauren CURRIE, Founder of WeAreSnook Agency, and Vincenzo DI MARIA, Network Catalyst at CommonGround.
The first day, the instructors explained the concept of service design and invited the students to imagine new services including innovative fields such as technology or sustainable development. At the end of the day, the students presented their respective works, after defining the potential customers.
The second day, Lauren CURRIE, Vincenzo DI MARIA and the students analyzed the life cycle of a fashion accessory, from its creation by a designer to its purchase. The students also learned to make the difference between a business model and a business plan, to handle the different CRM technics, and to create and try out new and innovative services.
These two workshop days allowed the students to explore innovative and interactive tools and to master the methodologies to create added value in their future professional projects in the fashion industry.
